This piece was written at the beginning of 2024, where I found myself feeling very lost and directionless, as well as having been stuck in a writers block for the longest time. In order to knock myself out of it, I decided to push myself to sit down and put my current feelings into 4 bars of music. This exercise then turned into the beginning of this piece, which I find myself quite personally connected to. "do you hear me?" explores the feelings of being trapped in a cycle, unable to escape until you finally find the motivation to push yourself upwards.
